Nikon D60 with 18-55 VR Lens Kit – demonstration video

Monday Nov 3, 2008

The D60 is a high-performance DX format digital SLR with a 10.2 megapixel resolution. Easy to use and easy to handle, it is the perfect way to explore the magic of digital SLR photography. Everyday situations can be trusted to the camera in AUTO mode, or you can try one of its many options for more creative control. In-camera creative features are easily accessible via an intuitive menu. Convenience is highlighted by a rotating information display that follows the orientation of the camera, a self-cleaning internal mechanism, and a sensor located in the viewfinder that turns off the monitor. With a near-instant start-up time and a small, light body, this camera is ready to go with you anywhere. The D60 – stunning photography is just a step away.

The D60 18-55 VR KIT includes the AF-S DX VR NIKKOR 18-55mm lens. Perfect for a wide variety of situations, this lens features built-in Vibration Reduction (VR) to combat camera shake and allow much slower shutter speeds (up to three stops) to be used.

This is very true. But it’s also true that you cannot do the same kind of pictures with an 8Mp lumix PAS that you can with a DSLR.

you’re a retard man …
you’re a retard man… sorry but this is the truth. Not the camera makes the photos, but the photographer… and if the photographer is a techno-boy or a measurebator (note: ken rockwell) the pictures will suck!!! The only thing that still matters to say… is a better lens eventually but all other things are technical gimmnicks from the marketing guys trying to sell more and more cameras. Do you think Ansel Adams had dust-reduction? Or stop-motion? :)

DeArmour, you’re …
DeArmour, you’re clearly been bitten by the megapixel-myth – “only 6.1 megapixels”. Well, 10 mp images is for starter not more detailed, in fact cramming more pixels on the same size sensor just leaves you with more noise than the D40 sensor.

All those gimmicks such as an eye-sensor, stop motion movie and in-camera editing that does’nt improve your photography skills but just complicates and slows the camera must be considered infirior.

“I BUY HIGHER END …
“I BUY HIGHER END MODELS, THESE MUST SUCK”

But anyway, the D60 is better than the D40/X because of:

1. Usually available with a 18-55mm VR lens
2. A dust reduction system
3. A better processor with Active D-Lighting

D60 has been proven …
D60 has been proven better than the D40 and 40x many times over number one reason the D40 has only 6.1 mega pixels the 40x has 10.2 and the D60 also has 10.2 but if you know your cameras the D40 is nothing more than an over priced point and shoot. it doesn’t even have stop-motion recording, eye sensors, Active D Lighting, and an anti-dust system…so tell me how is it a peace of ? the D40 can do none of that…if you really want to talk cameras Look into the D300.

the D60 is a piece …
the D60 is a piece of the D40 is better than the 40x and 60
but D80 tops them all
